The Park at Cornerstone Church will provide our community with a welcoming, all-inclusive space where people of all ages and abilities can come together to play, connect, and grow. Through the development of a vibrant playground and recreational sports facilities, we aim to foster meaningful relationships and build bridges with our neighbors. See how we are bringing the first all-inclusive playground and recreational space to our community!

 OUR STORY

In 2023, Cornerstone Church had the idea of transforming our 12 acre campus into a dynamic community space that offers more than just a place to walk by. We envision creating an all-inclusive playground where every child, regardless of ability, can play and thrive, along with a soccer field, a basketball court, a tennis and pickleball court, and walking trails for people of all ages to enjoy —spaces designed for fun, connection, and physical activity.

Every day, our campus is often filled with families strolling, kids playing in the rocks, and individuals exercising—but there’s little structured opportunity for engagement or fun. By creating these recreational areas, we hope to meet a genuine need in the community while also building relationships with those who visit.

Our heart is to create a space that brings the community together, and to welcome people into our church family in both words and action.

Join us in creating a world where fun knows no boundaries. We're not just building a playground and sports space; we're building a community where everyone is welcome, everyone is included, and everyone can have fun.

What is a All-Inclusive Playground?

OUR MISSION

At Cornerstone Church, our mission is to reach out to our community by transforming our 12 acre campus into a welcoming, all-inclusive space where people of all ages and abilities can come together to play, connect, and grow. Through the development of a vibrant playground and recreational sports facilities, we aim to foster meaningful relationships and build bridges with our neighbors. We believe that fun, fellowship, and physical activity provide natural opportunities to engage, support, and share the love of Christ. Our ultimate goal is to draw people closer to Jesus, creating a space where all are included, valued, and encouraged to discover faith, community, and purpose.

OUR PURPOSE

The Park at Cornerstone Church reflects the heart of our church’s mission to serve and impact the community in meaningful ways. By creating an inclusive, recreational space, our church goes beyond traditional boundaries, meeting people where they are — in their neighborhood, through shared activities, and in the context of their daily lives. This opens doors for building genuine relationships, offering support, and ultimately sharing the love and message of Jesus Christ in a way that resonates with people.

WHY THIS MATTERS

  1. Building Relationships: In a world where people often feel isolated or disconnected, creating a space for play, sports, and physical activity provides opportunities for natural interactions and relationship-building. It’s through these connections that trust is built, and lives can be touched with the love of Jesus.
  2. Engaging the Community: A playground or recreational area isn't just a facility — it's a tool for engagement. By offering something valuable that meets the practical needs of the community, such as a safe place for kids to play or a sports field for adults to enjoy, the church becomes a hub of activity and a visible, accessible presence in people's lives.
  3. Inclusion and Accessibility: Making the space all-inclusive demonstrates Cornerstone's commitment to reaching people of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds. In a world that often marginalizes or excludes, we strive to create a welcoming, accessible environment reflecting the heart of the gospel — that all are welcome in God's kingdom, regardless of their circumstances.
  4. Pointing People to Christ: Ultimately, every relationship formed, every game played, and every activity hosted serves as a platform to point people toward Christ. When individuals experience love, kindness, and community through the church’s efforts, they are more likely to be open to hearing about the deeper hope that comes through Jesus.
  5. Building a Lasting Impact: The creation of a recreational space isn’t a one-time event; it’s an ongoing opportunity to create lasting impact in the community. Over time, as relationships deepen and trust builds, the church becomes a place where people can not only find fun and fellowship but also spiritual growth, support, and transformation.

By investing in these tangible, relational spaces, Cornerstone Church is demonstrating that faith isn’t just something people hear about on Sundays, but something that can be experienced and lived out in every part of life — from the playground to the sports field, to the heart of the community.

" When we treat children's play as seriously as it deserves, we are helping them feel the joy that's to be found in the creative spirit. It's the things we play with and the people who help us play that make a great difference in our lives.”

— Fred Rogers, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood
